Group Care Facilities are regulated and licensed by other state agencies such as the Florida Department of Children and Families (link opens in new window), Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (link opens in new window), and the U.S. Department of Education (link opens in new window); however, the Department of Health may perform routine health and safety inspections by request of the facility or their licensing agency. These inspections would concern:
